Where are you located?
45 Olive Street - this is an alley between Polk and Larkin.
When do I need to arrive to volunteer?
Show up 30 minutes before the program starts for instructions and role assignments.
What transit lines run near City Hope?
There are several transit lines that run near City Hope. Some of the nearby Muni lines are: 2, 3, 19, 31, 38, 47, 49
What is parking like at City Hope?
City Hope does not have its own parking lot. The neighborhood surrounding City Hope has metered street parking and parking garages with fee structures. We do not offer parking validation with any of the parking garages.
Is there a safe place to store my personal belongings?
You can put any of your personal belongings (including your bicycle) in our locked office during the program.
Can I volunteer with a group from my work, church or school?
Yes, we love inviting groups to serve together. Please check out our information page on how to bring your group: City Hope Group Volunteering
Can children sign up for volunteer roles?
Children as young as age 10 can sign up for a volunteer spot for any program. If your child is younger than 10 and would like to actively volunteer, please email ashlea@cityhopesf.org to see if there are roles suitable for younger children.
Can I bring my child who's younger than 10 with me while I volunteer?
Yes, children are welcome to accompany you while you volunteer.
Will City Hope sign my community service form?
Yes, we would be happy to sign your community service form at the end of your volunteer shift. Please have the form already filled out with your information before presenting it to us.
