As a San Francisco native with a rich connection to the different cultures and flavors of the city, Chef Grant brings his passion for, and skill in preparing many different styles of cuisine for our community.
From being Executive Chef to multiple SF restaurants and Culinary Director for the University of San Francisco to fine dining culinary experience to managing catering and banquet operations, Grant has also become a lifelong avid traveler. He has been able to study various cultures and their food first hand, only to bring it all back to the place he calls home: San Francisco.
During the pandemic shut down, Grant pivoted and opened a coffee and sandwich shop called Ham & Cheese Deli in the Richmond District and rebuilt his private catering company. This new life outside of the demands of restaurants has allowed him more time with his 10 year old son, Ozzy, and to fulfill another dream - coaching youth sports. When not at City Hope or manning the sandwich shop, Grant can be found coaching the 10U Pop Warner football Jr 49ers at Kimball field in SF.
There is no chef more purely San Franciscan. There is no chef that could more proudly represent this city and help bring City Hope to an unprecedented place of impact through radical hospitality.
