County Jail Fellowship
About the Partnership
County Jail Fellowship is a partnership with the San Francisco County Jail. A community of volunteers visit weekly to worship with men and women who are experiencing incarceration - a forgotten, ignored and misunderstood part of our community. Weekly worship together is a reminder to all of us that God extends love, grace and mercy regardless of our life circumstances.
Volunteering
Before joining us in County Jail, volunteers need to attend an orientation at the San Francisco County Jail and receive clearance through the Sheriff's Department (City Hope staff and volunteer leaders will guide you through the process). Once cleared, volunteers are asked to commit to attending at least one service per month in order to have consistency.
